“A truly INSPIRATIONAL innovative training provider that combats the barriers levied due to Language” - EADI European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes
Staff development is a priority for TCCA, which will continue to support opportunities for staff to build skills and knowledge despite existing barriers. Improved staff development leads to better care for service users. Most carers choose this role to support others and enhance service users' lives. We ensure our carers complete training to maintain high standards and performance.
TCCA continually improves training to raise carers' skills and standards. In 2019, we introduced new training lists to expand carers' knowledge. We adhere to the “Skills for Care Mandatory Training Recommendation” and will implement its latest changes from 2020 in our regular sessions.
Staff receive basic training in Mental Capacity, Mental Health, and work-related stress, with further specialised courses planned. All employees can access online training at their convenience and may choose from a range of optional courses to expand their knowledge.

The organisation has expanded its training resources, now including a life-size dummy for exercises such as moving, dressing, and personal care. The collection also features two CPR dummies ("Annie"), a mobile hoist, a feeding pump, a commode, a wheelie frame, a bed frame, and a toilet seat frame and raiser.
TCCA launched a RQF Level 2 Health and Social Care group open to all; contact the TCCA Office if interested. Work Development Funding remains available for Homecare staff and requires an updated ASC-WDS (formerly NMDS) portal. New care workers begin with the Care Certificate before progressing to the Level 2 diploma. Qualifications like the Care Certificate and RQF demonstrate staff training and care quality.
